The Heal Hate Initiative was founded after “Heil Hitler” was graffitied on a school bathroom wall and the administration did not address the incident with the school community. In an effort to unite the student body in fighting all forms of bigotry on campus, we created a forum for classmates of different backgrounds to write about and discuss their shared experiences of discrimination. The result has been increased communication, respect, and allyship among students.
